Danny & Ron's Rescue
A Camden, South Carolina 501(c)(3) dog rescue founded by champion equestrian trainers Danny Robertshaw and Ron Danta, who turned their own home into "The Doghouse". They saved 600+ dogs during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and nearly 15,000 dogs have been rescued as of 2026.
Why donate?
The rescue runs almost entirely on donations.
Every dollar counts toward helping dogs in need. Your donation helps provide food, medical care, and shelter for dogs who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected.
Nearly 90% of the rescue's revenue comes from contributions, and the founders take $0 in compensation.

Danny and Ron started out by taking money from their own retirement savings to help dogs in need.

Danny is a National Show Hunter Hall of Fame inductee, and Ron was the 2012 Chronicle of the Horse Show Hunter Horseman of the Year.

They deliver pet food and supplies to elderly people and those in poverty, and even pay for their pets' medical bills.
